Gastritis may advance suddenly or appear slowly. Gastritis that occurs unexpectedly is called acute gastritis. Gastritis that takes a much more gradual process is chronic.

Just like ulcers, gastritis displays severe signs or symptoms. Symptoms of gastritis include:

Burning ache and pain in the abdomen
Indigestion

Pasta and chicken diets are actually healthy for an ulcer or gastritis patient. However, extra measures must be taken when the meal is being prepared. Pasta and chicken foods that are fried or heavily spiced might not be a good option. [3]

This recipe is perfect for ulcer and gastritis patients having a unique blend of pasta and chicken. Some say it goes as far as destroying the Ulcer causing bacteria.
Prepare the pasta as usual, following the familiar steps.
Add a little amount of oil to the pan and allow it to heat for a while.
Slice up the chicken, season them with spices and place them in the pan.
Allow the chicken to stir fry for about 7 minutes or until it is cooked.
Add the asparagus, garlic, broccoli, and the mushrooms and stir well.
Add the pesto and mix everything thoroughly. Allow the mixture to now fry for a little more time.
Pour in the pasta to the rest of the mix and stir well until it is all mixed.
Serve with parmesan and basil leaves with pepper sprinkled on top.

You also need to avoid red meat, especially ground beef and fattier cuts. Instead, choose skinless poultry or a piece of grilled, broiled, or steamed fish. Soups that are broth-based, like chicken soup, are better than cream soups.
A gastritis diet is typically based on natural foods like fruits, vegetables and whole grain foods. You should reduce or avoid intake of highly processed products like sausages, fried foods and soft drinks. A more natural diet facilitates the digestive process and allows food to pass quickly through the stomach.
Lean protein food sources like beans, yoghurt, low-fat cheese, egg white, fish, skinned chicken works well to repair the inflamed stomach lining and boost stamina.
Are eggs good or bad for stomach ulcers? Eggs are not considered to be either good or bad for stomach ulcers. There are many reasons to include eggs in your diet if they do not irritate your ulcer. The protein in eggs can contribute to your nutrition, muscle health, and feelings of fullness.
Among the foods you can eat if you have a peptic ulcer are: Bean and legumes, which are good sources of fiber. Eggs, which are rich in vitamin A. Fish, including fatty fish with high levels of omega-3 polyunsaturated fats.

In order to avoid sometimes-debilitating bouts of gastritis, it's important to know your triggers. Here is a list of foods and beverages that can increase stomach acid and trigger gastritis symptoms: Dairy products (milk, cheese, yogurt) Carbonated drinks.
