It comes from hel ra and the 5 piece gives you crit every time you do damage. The question is Why is it in the game while it's a heavy set for pve?

Why? Well it's the "stronger" version of Leviathan.

    Leviathan gives:
    (2) 967 Max Stamina
    (3) 688 Weapon Critical
    (4) 688 Weapons Critical
    (5)1643 Weapon Critical

    Beserking Warrior gives:
    (2) 688 Weapon Critical
    (3) 129 Weapon damage
    (4) 688 Weapons Critical
    (5) When you deal melee damage, your Critical Strike rating is increased by 400 for 5 seconds, stacking up to 5 times.

Beserking Warrior gives 2000 Weapon Critical, as opposed to Leviathan's 1643 Weapon Critical, but is more difficult to make use of.

It can stack with the Leviathan set too. It is also easily slottable by using Jewelry + Dual Wield in order to still maintain 7/7 medium if you wanted to do that. The concept is a trade-off between instant penetration and stacking penetration.

There is another pair of sets that work this way: Spriggan and Twice-Fanged Snake.

Then why is a heavy armor set only? Sure you can jewelry and weapons but the thing is that. Is zenimax want to make diversity builds for pve?

You can't use crit in PvP?? I mean, sure, it's not a good idea to stack crit like you would in PvE, but it's certainly useful. Crit not only provides burst damage (PvP is all about burst damage) it affects healing too. I certainly wouldn't want to go into Cyrodiil with only 22% crit (10% base +12% from CP passive), I think 40-50% is good for PvP.

I believe if you're capped on crit resist it only mitigates half of the base crit damage, so an extra 25% damage plus CPs and shadow mundus (12% with no divines, if you're using it) every time you crit is nice to help you burst people down.

Players should only stack weapon damage mostly or penetrate in pvp. You have to deal with damage shields almost every fight or battle. Here let me show you a simple greater than chart.

Weapon/spell damage or stack stam/magicka> penetration> crit damage with crit hit chance> a wet noodle tank that is like a sun shield build but still can do damage if players ain't stupid enough to realize to attack them last.

I think the jewels also come in Robust. The set is actually pretty good on a stamina setup for front bar as it lasts five seconds until you need to refresh it

The jewels also come in robust, so you can nearly use it like a medium set. You can use two weapons of DW of it together with the robust jewels. It stays for 5 seconds. Most rotations only stay on the back bar for less than that, so you can easily just use it on the front bar and still make it work really well.

It's not a bad set, combine it with TBS+Shadow to make full use of the critical chance.

I guess it depends what how you're playing. As someone who plays mostly solo I like having a well rounded build.

Well I thought that drop sets come only that? Healthy on heavy, Robust on medium, And arcane on light. The only jewelry sets that are random is endurance, agility, and willpower sets. And it's funny that those sets isn't that useful much anymore after one tamerial.

Pretty sure there's light sets out there for "pvp". And while you mention it, what about Rattlecage? Dreugh King Slayer? These are sets acquired by pve content used more in pvp.

    Because :

    1. It's not specifically intended for PvE. All sets can be used in PvE or PvP. It's the combination of sets which would be geared towards PvE and/or PvP. Some combinations can also be specialized for specific zones like Arena, Maelstrom, Trials etc.
    2. In regards to this set, the intent isn't so much about addressing "diversity", but rather to broaden the variety of combo choices and character customization.

For instance, someone who wants to wear heavy armor while being able to do substantial damage could appreciate that set, and as such replace a Monster set resistance armor by a DPS Monster set - or something else than Physical and magical resistances, like stamina buffs, speed, whatever. It could be excellent choice for a Nord or Imperial DK DPS or semi-tank build in PvP Cyrodiil (for example along Spriggan's Thorns set and Shudan Monster set + restore stam on health jewels - or some other trait of that sort -, etc.).

Note - Since it's a heavy armor, the fact that it must stack its 5th crit damage can be a little drawback compared to the 5th direct full crit from Leviathan: the difference between both is that Leviathan has 357 crit less than Berserking, but this is only true when Beserking Warrior has actually stacked up its full crit within 5 seconds. Thus, IMHO, Leviathan could have a higher probability to give out more DPS if not similar in the long run. For burst damage and short fights, Leviathan is better. For sustain requirements (PvP, as well as PvE World Bosses/dungeons or trials and such), Beserking Warrior could be better. However, in the end It all depends of the rest of the set combo and character skills + CP allocation.

You're asking why Berserking Warrior is a heavy set for a PVE stamina DPS? Hahahahaha.

This is the same game where the best S&B for tanking is from a medium armor set. The same game that drops Vicious Ophidian staves and Infallible Aether swords like rain. The same game that has not one, but TWO sets that enable you to become a statue when you die as part of a five-piece buff.

Come on now. At least there is an argument that the heavy armor might have some utility in PVP.
